On Monday, July 3, 2023, EPN submitted comments on EPA’s draft human health risk assessment for the registration review of DCPA, an herbicide used on weeds. The comments come in response to EPA’s announcement of the availability of an exposure and benefits assessment for DCPA. EPN suggests that EPA take swift actions to reduce or eliminate the risks of exposure to DCPA, as the health risks are so incredibly high that it cannot practically be made safe, and the benefits of its use are low to modest at best.
