The Trump Budget Aims to Cripple Environmental Protection

In advance of EPA Administrator Pruitt’s first testimony before congress and after the Trump administration’s release of the FY18 Budget Blueprint on March 16, 2017, EPN Produced this 4-page document (+ appendices) to identify and highlight some of its most significant impacts. It describes the drastic 45% cuts proposed for EPA programs, staff cuts of 25%, and the 30% reduction in grants to state environmental agencies. This would give EPA the smallest workforce since 1982, while it is still tasked to administer 7 major congressionally mandated programs.
