FY2019 Budget Proposal Eliminates or Significantly Cuts Critical Health and Environmental Programs

On February 12, 2018, the Trump Administration’s FY2019 budget proposal was released with a staggering 31% cut to EPA’s budget. These cuts affect essential programs, staffing levels and eliminate nearly 50 programs that protect the air, water and land, and people’s health in communities across America. A full list of these programs at risk can be found in EPN’s 10-page analysis on this shockingly inadequate budget; however, in response, EPN has also created fact sheets on a number of the programs up for elimination or significant cuts to fully illustrate what our country and the American people would be losing.

Note: Programs and activities eliminated in the FY2019 Budget total $598.5 million compared
to FY2018 annualized continuing resolution levels.
