On June 11, 2020, numerous science-based organizations, including EPN, released a report outlining 43 steps that can be taken to restore science and protect the public. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it disturbingly clear how the nation suffers when science is sidelined. Making independent science a core pillar of federal agency work is essential to saving lives, especially for communities that bear disproportionate impacts from public health and environmental threats.
