On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, EPN submitted two sets of comments related to President Biden’s Executive Order on Modernizing Regulatory Review. We support the Office of Information and Regulatory Affair’s proposed revisions to improve the regulatory impact analysis through amendments to Circulars A-4 and A-94, and we made recommendations that will bring about the greatest advancements in application of policy analysis and equity to the regulatory development process. We are also pleased that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) recognizes the importance of proactively facilitating public participation in rulemaking and emphasizes the importance of not only adopting good policies but also supporting agencies in carrying out such policies.
