EPN Comments on EPA’s Draft Strategic Plan for FY2018-2022

In June, Scott Pruitt and the Trump Administration presented their EPA strategic plan, which is a planning document for the agency’s work over the four-year term of each President. It should inform the public, government, and career EPA staff of the purposes of the agency and how it will achieve them. It should also present a picture of the current state of the environment and the scientific rationale for continued progress in cleaning the environment and reducing risks to human health. The current draft neglects to address significant threats to human health and the environment. As EPN’s 7-page response makes clear, Pruitt and the Trump Administration are completely silent on the human health and environmental challenges of the 21st Century.
