Under the Trump Administration, the U.S. Mexico Border Program, established under the 1983 La Paz Agreement to address the serious public health and environmental issues in border communities, and the Border 2020 Program, also established under the 1983 agreement to provide an environmental and public health partnership between U.S. border tribes and the U.S. and Mexico governments, have been eliminated.
