On Thursday, August 17, 2023, EPN sent a letter to the National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC), EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, regarding the proposed PFAS national drinking water rule. EPN is concerned that NDWAC was not informed of the extent and severity of health risks posed by various PFAS chemicals and should be better apprised of those risks when advising EPA on how best to regulate them in the nation’s public water systems.
