EPN Comments on Plan to Revise PFAS Drinking Water Standards

On July 21, 2025, The Environmental Protection Network submitted comments opposing EPA’s plan to delay PFAS drinking water standard compliance and rescind certain MCLs. We argued that millions remain exposed to carcinogenic PFAS and Safe Drinking Water Act timelines allow no justification for a 7-year delay. We also urged retaining MCLs for PFHxS, PFNA, GenX, PFBS, and the Hazard Index to protect public health and prevent years of avoidable exposure.
