EPA Alumni Explain the Risks of the Proposed Rollback of Clean Car Standards

On August 24, 2018, the Trump Administration issued a proposal to roll back clean car standards with the Safer Affordable Fuel Efficient (SAFE) Vehicles rule. The proposed SAFE rule takes vehicle emissions in the wrong direction. Rather than making air quality safer and owning a vehicle more affordable, this rollback would result in higher gas prices, more air pollution and increased health risks, especially for children, the elderly and people suffering from respiratory illnesses. EPN, in collaboration with Save EPA Ann Arbor, produced the following SAFE fact sheet.
