On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN conducted a virtual roundtable event with Shaw University, a historically Black institution in Raleigh, North Carolina. This event was part of our efforts to diversify EPA’s workforce by holding events at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). Vickie Tellis, the Director of Mission Support Division, Region 4, moderated the discussion, and two EPA alum shared their experiences working in the agency. In addition, an EPA human resources expert presented various career-entry pathways for students and recent graduates, and the event closed with a Q&A session.
