On March 20, 2023, EPN submitted comments on EPA’s draft white paper, “Availability of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program (EDSP).” While EPN supports EPA’s continuing work, we feel that the agency needs to make more meaningful progress in the implementation of its 2014 Work Plan, mandating additional screening and testing that will lead to regulatory decisions on pesticide chemicals and other compounds. We suggest steps that could be taken to resume progress toward that goal. We also make recommendations to expand the development of NAMs for other endocrine pathways.
