Programming
EPN provides various programming for current and former federal employees. Topics vary and include (but are not limited to) career transition, whistleblower protections, authoritarianism, and resume assistance.
Educational Roundtables
In partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN conducts educational roundtables for students who want to learn more about what it’s like to work in the environmental sector for federal, state, and local government, as well as the NGO space, and can provide helpful ideas about navigating the federal hiring process and USAJobs. In addition, our members serve as a resource to teachers and career counselors; give guest lectures and speak on panels; and mentor students and young professionals.
Mentoring
EPN provides mentors for current and recently departed EPA staff. If you or your colleagues are looking for career guidance and/or a confidential sounding board, we have the contact information of dozens of former EPA managers and can reconnect you.
In addition, we mentor students and potential employees who want to know more about what it's like to work for EPA and how to navigate the federal hiring process, including USAJobs. Please reach out to EPN’s Civil Service Resilience Manager for more details: steven.fantes@environmentalprotectionnetwork.org
Job Board – November Updates
EPN provides resources for federal employees and posts job opportunities in the environmental sector.
Resources for Federal Employees
EPN provides resources for federal employees to help them navigate this moment, including information about their rights, reductions in force, and voluntary retirements; and connections to legal and other support.
