On August 3, 2026, EPN and 20 former EPA senior officials, attorneys, and career staff, filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Inc., et al. v. County Commissioners of Boulder County, et al. The brief supports Boulder County and the City of Boulder, which are seeking damages under state law for climate-related harms, alleging that the companies misled the public and engaged in other wrongful conduct in promoting and selling fossil-fuel products.
