On August 26, 2024, EPN filed an amicus brief with the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, et al v. EPA. The brief defends the agency’s tougher limit for fine particulate matter (PM2.5), arguing that the rule conforms to longstanding scientific practice in setting the PM2.5 air quality standard.
