Nora Ripley-Grant is an intern at the Environmental Protection Network, where she is focused on EPN’s pro bono capacity-building technical assistance program. Nora is responsible for developing connections with communities in specified areas of the country and seeking out agency experts and partnerships with organizations to provide community-identified areas of assistance.

Nora graduated from the University of Vermont Patrick Leahy Honors College in May of 2023 with a BA in both Political Science and Environmental Studies. During her time at UVM, she completed a thesis that combined ethnographic and social value research about Assateague Island in an attempt to understand visitation motivations and deconstruct wilderness conceptions. Nora is passionate about the creation of just and equitable environmental policies, and is especially interested in food sovereignty and marine protections.

Nora currently lives in her hometown of Washington, DC, where she can be found cooking
elaborate meals, ranting about the lack of DC statehood, and shopping at Trader Joe’s.
