Contact Nora Ripley-Grant

Nora Ripley-Grant is a Community Outreach Associate with our pro bono capacity-building technical assistance program. Nora concentrates on creating new and deeper connections between communities of color and low-income communities in EPA Region 3, EPA alumni with decades of expertise, and other allies to provide assistance to community identified projects.

Nora graduated from the University of Vermont Patrick Leahy Honors College in May of 2023 with a BA in both Political Science and Environmental Studies. During her time at UVM, she completed a thesis that combined ethnographic and social value research about Assateague Island in an attempt to understand visitation motivations and deconstruct wilderness conceptions. Nora is passionate about the creation of just and equitable environmental policies, and is especially interested in food sovereignty and marine protections.

Nora currently lives in her hometown of Washington, DC, where she can be found cooking
elaborate meals, ranting about the lack of DC statehood, and shopping at Trader Joe’s.
