Matt Jones is an intern at the Environmental Protection Network, where he is focused on EPN’s pro bono capacity-building technical assistance program. Matt is responsible for developing connections with communities in specified areas of the country and seeking out agency experts and partnerships with organizations to provide community-identified areas of assistance.
Matt is a rising sophomore at the George Washington University Honors College majoring in Philosophy with a focus in Public Affairs and Business. Throughout his time at GWU, Matt has been involved as a Community Engagement Officer with the Black Student Union and served on the executive board of the GWU NAACP as the Activism Chair. Matt is passionate about civil rights litigation and advocating for issues related to racial injustice and discriminatory policies, particularly in the South.
Matt is an Atlanta, GA, native and currently resides on the campus of the George Washington University. Some of his interests include fitness, sports journalism, and listening to R&B music.
