Resources

Extreme Weather Resources

Climate Mental Health Network has released a new collection of free resources focused on helping adults support children and youth before, during, and after extreme weather events such as hurricanes, storms, heat waves, wildfires, and floods. Available in both English and Spanish, the materials include tip sheets, survivor-informed guides, a community-building resource titled “Meet Your Neighbors,” and educational videos designed to help families navigate the emotional impacts of climate-related disasters. All resources are available for free download through the organization’s Extreme Weather Resource Hub.

Coal Ash Regulatory Proposal Toolkit

Earthjustice and Sierra Club have put together an excellent toolkit on EPA’s new coal ash regulatory proposal. The EPA is proposing to weaken rules on coal ash — the toxic byproduct of coal-fired power plants. This rule would exempt plant owners from ensuring their coal ash isn’t polluting groundwater and poisoning nearby residents, and give more latitude to states to regulate these sites despite historic evidence that many states haven’t used that authority to protect their residents. Make your voice heard and submit your comment via the Federal Register by June 12, 2026. If you submit a comment, let L4GG know at L4GG.org/TrackComment.
