On July 10, 2025, The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) gave testimony strongly opposing the EPA’s proposal to repeal parts of the 2024 Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) update. We argue this would violate the Clean Air Act, disregard proven technology, and endanger public health, especially for vulnerable populations. We urge the EPA to withdraw the proposal and uphold the 2024 standards.
