Low-income areas and communities of color across America are disproportionately impacted by pollution, and the EPA Environmental Justice Program works to bridge these disparities and address the unequal burden that these communities face. Successful programs have been implemented across multiple states, addressing everything from air to water pollution, but this program is at risk of being cut. EPN has created this Environmental Justice fact sheet to provide an understanding of how critical it is to include the Environmental Justice Program in the EPA’s work towards its mission.
