FY2018 Consolidated Appropriations Act Overview: EPA Escapes the Chopping Block, Remains at Inadequate but Level Funding

In March 2018, Congress passed H.R. 1625, the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2018, which sets forth an EPA budget through September 30, 2018. While the act does not provide the EPA with adequate resources to fully conduct its basic functions, it does add funding in some areas, completely rejecting the Trump Administration’s proposal to gut the EPA in FY2018.
