EPN’s Preliminary Analysis of the EPA FY2018 Senate Appropriations Bill

On November 20, 2017, the Senate’s Appropriations Committee released its FY2018 EPA funding bill. It now goes to the full Senate for a vote. It differs from the House bill’s 8% budget cut by proposing a 1.86%, or $149.5 million cut, which is an improvement over HR 3354, but still makes for the lowest Senate proposal since 1986. EPN wrote this preliminary analysis, outlining the Senate’s proposal.
