EPA’s Indoor Air Quality Program Threatened by Severe Budget Cuts

The EPA’s indoor air program staff are regarded as national experts on the health risks associated with indoor air quality, and have provided practical approaches to reducing, eliminating, and avoiding these risks. Through supporting local prevention programs, disseminating information, providing grants, and helping with indoor air quality improvement efforts in schools, the EPA has successfully implemented a number of efforts to ensure the health of Americans when they are indoors. EPN has created this EPA Indoor Air Quality Program fact sheet to provide an understanding of how important this program is to ensuring healthy indoor environments.
