Science is at the core of nearly everything the EPA does in order to protect American’s health and environment—from toxicology, to engineering—and the EPA meets the highest standards for transparency and integrity in its science. EPN has created this EPA Core Programs Science fact sheet to provide a detailed understanding of the EPA’s critical role in researching the six priority areas of Air, Climate, and Energy; Safe and Sustainable Water Resources; Sustainable and Healthy Communities; Chemical Safety for Sustainability; Human Health Risk Assessment; and Homeland Security.
