Lyssa Freese is an atmospheric chemistry PhD candidate at MIT, doing her research on the intersection of emissions, health, economics and policy in China and the United States. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s China Environment Forum in D.C., as well as for Green Camel Bell and Rock Environment and Energy Institute—two environmental NGOs based in Lanzhou and Beijing, China. Lyssa has a B.S. in Science, Technology and International Affairs from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
